Environmental Impact Reduction Activities

Although the Company’s business operations do not directly initiate a large amount of greenhouse gas emissions like other industries, the company is committed to conducting business with environmental responsibility and promoting the environmentally-friendly business practice to realize a sustainable society. We have started providing electric motorcycle hire purchase to customers as one of the ways to reduce indirect impacts from business operations.

The company has provided guidelines and environmental impact activities to encourage our employees to understand and adapt to climate change and raise awareness of the Efficiency use of resources and energy to reduce environmental impact and participate in solving challenges from climate change.

The company recognizes the importance of being a part of building a recycling-oriented society with the alignment of environmental policy guidelines. This is to create awareness of waste reduction and recycling-oriented society. The company has separated the waste before garbage disposal at the headquarters and branches nationwide. In the initial stage, we have divided the waste into three types; wet, general, and recyclable; the company will manage the garbage disposal of each type in the next stage.

Summit Term Faa Term Suk

Summit Term Faa Term Suk is one of the activities the company has continuously organized from waste separation. This activity is campaigning our employees to collect plastic bottle caps separated from plastic bottles. The objective is to support and encourage all employees to contribute to conserving the environment and using resources with value and efficiency. This activity was launched in October 2022, and we delivered the bottle cap to “Precious Plastic Bangkok” and “Rak Talay Sanae Baan Amphur” community, Chonburi Province. The bottle cap was processed into a new product that was made from plastic waste. This can contribute to creating knowledge and generating income for the community, including strengthening environmental management.

From October 2022-March 2023, our employees can collect the plastic bottle cap and deliver them to Precious Plastic Bangkok and the community in a total of 34 kilograms which can be considered as reducing the amount of waste in that amount. The activity will be organized to deliver the plastic lid to Precious Plastic Bangkok and the network community every three months.

Summit Term Suk Term Rak Hai Thalay
The activity of Summit Term Suk Term Rak Hai Thalay (arranged on the 25th of February, 2023) was organized for the beach clean-up at Rak Talay Sanae Baan Amphur” community in Chonburi Province. This activity created awareness of environmental and community care for our employees. Sixty employees participated that day, and 42 kilograms of waste were collected. Waste collected has been imported into separating and disposing of properly. Moreover, the trash was reused following the circular economy principle, including preserving the ecosystem and creating nature for the sea.

“Waste Sorting for Merit” Initiative

The company recognizes the importance of active participation in sustainable development and the transition toward a circular society, in alignment with its environmental policy. This includes fostering awareness and encouraging behavioral change among employees to reduce plastic waste and promote resource reuse.

To support this commitment, the company has initiated the “Waste Sorting for Merit” program. This initiative invites employees at the head office to collectively contribute to environmental sustainability while earning “merit points” through responsible actions. Employees are encouraged to sort recyclable plastic waste, specifically plastic bottles and rigid plastic cups, which are then donated to Wat Chak Daeng.

The donated plastic waste is recycled into fabric used to produce monks’ robes, thereby supporting both environmental conservation and the preservation of Buddhism. This initiative not only helps reduce plastic waste but also contributes meaningfully to religious and social well-being.

Launched in October 2023 and continuing to the present, the program has successfully collected a total of 704.50 kilograms of plastic waste through the collective efforts of employees.

“Summit Capital Save the Earth” project

Summit Capital Leasing recognizes the importance of conserving natural resources and protecting the environment as part of its commitment to reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The company actively promotes environmental awareness among its executives, employees, business partners, and customers through the “Summit Capital Save the Earth” initiative.

As part of this program, participants engage in mangrove reforestation activities. Mangrove forests are vital coastal ecosystems that provide significant environmental, economic, and social benefits. This initiative aims to restore and conserve mangrove forests, which serve as important breeding grounds for marine life and act as natural sources of oxygen that help purify the air.

In addition, mangrove forests play a crucial role in reducing carbon dioxide levels—one of the primary contributors to global warming—thereby supporting climate change mitigation efforts.

“Old Calendar – Year 4”

The Company has continued its annual calendar donation initiative for the fourth consecutive year, inviting employees from both the head office and nationwide branches to contribute unused desk calendars. These collected calendars are then donated to support visually impaired individuals through a designated donation point at the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand.

The donated calendars are repurposed into educational materials, contributing to improved access to learning resources for the visually impaired. This year, the Company successfully collected a total of over 87 kilograms of calendars.

This initiative not only supports individuals with visual impairments but also promotes environmental sustainability by encouraging the recycling of unused materials for educational purposes.
